Feedback & Suggestions

  • May. 11th, 2014 at 9:06 PM
You know what I like almost as much as space? Ticky boxes and pancakes.

Below the cut is a poll soliciting feedback regarding Space Swap and the exchange we just held. The poll should be anon - I selected the option where poll creator cannot see participants answers. You're also more than welcome to comment to this post with feedback and suggestions.

If you need a refresher on how anything worked, the FAQ and the schedule are tagged in the community sidebar. As always, you are also more than welcome to contact either [personal profile] colls or [personal profile] skieswideopen directly.

THANK YOU again for participating and we hope to see you for our next one!

For our first round, we waited until the nomination period was over to begin approving and sorting through nominations. We had a post on DW/LJ for folks to coordinate their nominations if they wished. Would you prefer that we approved nominations as they were made/periodically and made the tag set visible?

Space Swap matches on fandom, freeform (fanwork type), character. Our character matching is 'Or-based' in that you may only match on one character. Do you have any feedback, input or suggestions (due to the multifandom and multimedia nature of space swap, we may not be able to tweak too much, but would like to try when we can)

Any feedback on the creation requirements?

General feedback?

I ran out of space and have more to say

I have run out of space anyway. :-P

I wanted to add that I found out this gift exchange the day before the sign-ups closed, so I can't anwer about the first few questions (Fandom Recruitment Period/Fandom Nomination Period etc).

Besides, I'll be away from the internet for a few months starting from August, so I think I'll rather be playing the next round of the gift exchange, in 2015 (if you'll do a repeat).

Anyway, thanks so much to both the mods and the gifters, I've enjoyed the gifts for this round, I look forward to the new works produced for both the fest and the next gift exchange. :)

Glad you enjoyed the space works and I think it's safe to say we'll be around for another round next year!

Enjoy your internet-free time. I hope it's for something exciting :)

August/Sept is a terrible time for me because university is resuming, but I hope you'll have one again in the Spring (same timing). It worked out perfectly! :)

Sorry to hear about the timing, but it may mean there are things to browse when your schedule isn't so hectic?

We're planning the same basic schedule (I think) with minor tweaking based on feedback from above and holidays and whatnot (assignments due on Easter weekend and reveals on Mother's Day wasn't the best plan I ever had, although we managed. - LOL)

As a caveat to the idea of Space Fest, I'd be interested if it's not a one-claim style (i.e. multiple fills per prompt are okay) and, if there was a length rec, it was relatively modest (1-2k, for example).

(I didn't answer the rest because I was only here to pinch-hit. :>)
