The Lost Fleet - Jack Campbell
Worldbuilding: The hardships of a century of warfare (The Lost Fleet), Worldbuilding: The beginning of the war (The Lost Fleet), Worldbuilding: Space battles (The Lost Fleet), Worldbuilding: Getting used to peace (The Lost Fleet), Fanart, Fanfiction, Fanvids

Hello, and thank you for creating!

There's a lot to like about this series, from the fact that it's a rare example of military science-fiction that's not right-authoritarian, to combat being more about positioning and movement than weaponry, to the fish-out-of-water nature of the protagonist having to grapple with a society (and military customs) that have widely diverged in a century ; but if I'm being honest, by requesting it I'm mostly hoping for a space battle of some sort.

Though whether you want to write action or worldbuilding, I find it's a fandom that lends itself well to "elsewhere/meanwhile" fics — that is to say, stories about other parts of the setting and other people than what canon covers.

I have read everything, the main series, the sequels, prequels, sidequels (and I think the best ones are the Lost Stars series, if only because it stop focusing on one single POV, and has a little more politicking).

DNW

- Permanent death of a requested character (unless it's characters talking about a canon event. Temporary death (whether it's magic, science, or just miscommunication) is okay as a plot point)
- Issuefic (preachiness; stories whose main point is some kind of political/social issue, current politics)
- Major, radical AUs (think high-school or coffeshop AUs, things that change the world where the story takes place)
- Unhappy endings (bittersweet ones are okay, but not bad ones)
- Omegaverse and Mpreg
- Infidelity
- Genderswap (unless specifically requested in the prompt)
- Focused descriptions of major injuries, body horror
- Monarchism apologia (I admit, that's not often a relevant thing to specify)
- If a couple does not have kids in canon, I do not like inventing some.
- I put it last because it's not as much a firm DNW as something I generally dislike, but misunderstandings

Sins of a Solar Empire (Video Game)
Worldbuilding: What is chasing the Vasari (SoaSE), Worldbuilding: The creation of the TEC (SoaSE), Worldbuilding: The Advent's Exile (SoaSE), Fanart, Fanfiction

Hello, and thank you for creating!

I've always been a fan of space-based RTS (or, well, in this case, "4X but with focus on one of the X"), but SoaSE has always had this weird place in my heart for its lore. It's full of fascinating parts, and yet so utterly vague (since most of what we have are a few extremely well done intros) that you can do pretty much anything with it. We have outlines of the factions and of their backstories, and that leaves a lot of space to be filled. The frantic beginning of the war and the Traders having to desperately defend themselves; the creation of the TEC; whatever the Advents were doing during their centuries of exile; the Vasari's exile fleet... lots and lots and things that could be the topic of a worldbuilding-heavy piece.

Or, for more action— well, this is a war game after all. You can't go wrong with writing about conflict (whether it's a single action or an entire campaign). As I mentioned earlier, I have quite the fondness for space battles. I've even written some.

Mass Effect - All Media Types
Worldbuilding: Daily Life in the Citadel (ME), Fanart, Fanfiction, Fanvids

Hello, and thank you for creating!

There's not much to be said here; I'm just a fan of "daily life" stuff, of canon events seen through the eyes of background characters, of events happening to other people while the heroes are doing their hero-ing. As a fandom-specific taste, though, I'd prefer not focusing too much on the humans. There's so many possibilities with aliens and interactions between species!

Citizen Sleeper (Video Game)
Worldbuilding: Daily Life on Erlin's Eye (Citizen Sleeper), Worldbuilding: Sleeper Production (Citizen Sleeper), Relationship: Bliss & Ankhita (Citizen Sleeper), Character: Gardener (Citizen Sleeper), Character: Sleeper (Citizen Sleeper), Relationship: Ankhita & Sleeper (Citizen Sleeper), Relationship: Riko & Sleeper (Citizen Sleeper), Relationship: Feng & Sleeper (Citizen Sleeper), Relationship: Ethan & Sleeper (Citizen Sleeper), Character: Ankhita (Citizen Sleeper), Fanart, Fanfiction, Fanvids, Interactive Fiction

Opt-in: Animatics for fanvids

General likes
- understated whump and hurt/comfort. ("Understated" = use your best judgement.)
- Men Coughing Up Blood(TM), Women Coughing Up Blood, Nonbinary People Coughing Up Blood, etc.
- competence porn and characters leaning into very different strengths. Scenes that showcase the contrast between characters
- Relationships forged in fire, bonding over trauma, codependency, friendships and romantic/sexual relationships that are hard to categorise in terms of whether they're a good thing/helpful or not. Relationships as questionable coping mechanisms. When characters can't quite say what they are to each other except "someone important"
- low-stakes moments, high-stakes action. Characters going through extremely harrowing experiences but somehow getting through it more or less okay (or are they)
- plotty Gen fic, missionfic, casefic, pre-slash or pre-relationship, slow-burn vibes
- UST!!! I am happy if the requested ship kisses but I also adore it if the story is just them losing their minds over one (1) second of platonic hand contact.
- canon-divergent AUs that answer "what if" questions, or "for want of a nail" AUs
- non-explicit but sensual and emotional non-graphic sex scenes
- UST-ridden scenes that are not sex but very sensual or metaphorically sexal (e.g. reaching inside someone's mechanical parts to repair them...!)
- The Eroticism of the Machine(TM), wireplay, robots, androids, cyborgs, etc...
- non-sexual intimacy
- intimacy that is sexual but not directly about sex (e.g. pillow talk, lazy mornings after)
- fluff with a touch of bittersweetness or grimness
- cloak-and-dagger, cat-and-mouse, spies, secrets, Identity Porn
- wild nature, animals of all kind including spiders, bugs and creepy-crawlies, rats
- things that are ugly or in disrepair but at the same time beautiful in their own way
- the aesthetic of ruin and tangled industrial locales

General DNWs
Graphic gore, noncon, kidfic, noncanonical incest or underage, pregnancy of POV characters, focus on needles or surgery (especially cutting and IVs), focus on IRL modern era geopolitics (~last century but especially last 50 years), eye horror/trauma

NSFW likes
Between M and E rating, I prefer M. I like the emotional and vulnerability angle, foreplay, delayed gratification, hot and cold dynamics, exploration, non-formal (unless you decide it would be IC for them) D/s dynamics, stolen moments, getting interrupted, focus on undressing each other or figuring out what the other likes, collected characters being unable to hold on to their composure, realistically flawed communication or clashing expectations, when one or both parties' judgement is severely compromised, when there are power imbalances or other external factors making things just a bit weird, "We're enemies/we should keep it professional/[some other reason why they Really Shouldn't] but it's really hard to deny the attraction", First Time [anything], Sex Scenes As a Character/Relationship Study.

NSFW DNWs
Omegaverse, scat, watersports, bloodplay, rimming, fisting, stuffing, noncon (dubcon A-okay!), most kinks that would fall under degradation or humiliation (I would not consider light submissive behaviour to be this)

Prompts
- Sleeper vs. the various people who have become their support network - some of them good people to have as a support network, some not so much...
- More prompts in letter!
