Sign-ups open 18:20 GMT!

We'll be running this along typical exchange lines: participants will sign up with requests and offers, will be matched via AO3, and will receive an assignment. By signing up, participants agree to make a fannish creation for their assigned participant. In turn, someone will make a fannish creation for them.

When signing up, you will need to request at least 3 fandoms, and can request up to 8. You'll also need to offer at least 3 fandoms, and can offer up to 10. For each fandom, you can request for 1 to 4 nominated characters, or "any". For each fandom, you must offer to write 2 to 8 of the nominated characters. You can also offer 'any'.

Can you request the same fandom twice with different characters?

Perhaps? (The AO3 settings are rather opaque.) Try it; if it complains, you can't. (We request that you have three unique fandoms for requests, though.)

I tried it and it does work. No worries, I requested the max number of fandoms.

Also, is it just fanfic now? The sticky says we're still doing fic, art, vids, and other.

"Fannish creation" = fic, art, vids, other. We're still multimedia!

Hi! Sorry, does this fest run along yuletide rules? For example: write characters but not necessarily relationships/prompts as long as in good faith. I'm personally concerned about what your trigger policy is re signing up -- mine's easy to avoid, but I don't know if avoiding triggers stated in official sign-ups is part of the generally accepted rules.

Yes, it does!

I'll do a post on a few bits and pieces this evening, including the ODAO policy.
