Or: how do you want to subcategorize large franchises, so people can actually view and use the tagset without breaking out Excel.
All Media Types? Into subfandoms? By time period? By location?
Make a thread for your canon (unless there is one already), and then discuss in the subcomments.
The end result of the threads on the 31st at 1am X-ray (when nominations open) will be used to decide how nominations are approved.

Selfishly, I like having it separated out into subfandoms so I can nom/request more things and focus on the areas I like, but it does make "crossovers" a pain.
Star Wars (Marvel Comics)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
Star Wars Original Trilogy
Star Wars Prequel Trilogy
Star Wars Sequel Trilogy
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) - All Media Types
and an agreement to separate out Knights of the Old Republic.
- DC's Arrowverse (includes The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Constantine, Vixen and The Ray)
- Defenders Shows (Defenders, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Punisher, Jessica Jones)
MCU movies grouped together? DCEU movies?
On Arrow and The Flash, while rarely the focus, they also fought aliens coming from space once or two, so I think they should be in too.
I'm also considering my Star Trek nomination options, and considering requesting from one or more of the DS9 relaunch novels. I assume I should nominate it/them separately as books if I do? (Or should they be lumped into Star Trek DS9 - as tie in books they assume DS9 show knowledge, but not everyone who watched DS9 will have read any of the novels...)
Unless you feel there's strong reason to nom the books under the TV show, I'd suggest splitting them. More fandoms!
And wonderful, if I do nom I'll stick to the book names for the fandom then. Even though there's implied show knowledge, it's a very distinct future time/setting that's different to the show. I'm just not used to handling tie-in fandoms so I thought I'd check to be safe.
For example, say I want to request Mara Jade. Would I request:
Star Wars:Legends? (broad tag that would encapsulate all pre-Disney EU, including Mara)
Star Wars:(Legends:)Thrawn Trilogy? (point of origin for the character)
Star Wars:(Legends:)New Jedi Order? (main series I'd be requesting)
Sorry if this is obvious, first-time participant!
