  • Jan. 28th, 2025 at 9:20 PM

Please read the instructions

The Excalibur Alternative - David Weber – Please nominate according to the instructions. Thank you!

Is there space in this?

A quick google did not bring up anything useful for the following fandoms. Could the nominator or a bystander please explain the space content?
Relic Master Series - Catherine Fisher
내가 키운 S급들 - 근서 | S-Classes that I Raised - Geunseo

Fandom tags

We have nominations for both Mass Effect Trilogy and Mass Effect - All Media Types. Nominators, which do you prefer? Do you want Andromeda lumped in or separated out?

We have nominations for both Warhammer 40.000 and Warhammer 40k (Novels) - Various Authors. Are these the same fandom? How do the nominators want this franchise handled?

Worldbuilding tags

Worldbuilding tags cannot be used as plot prompts. Please replace the following:
Worldbuilding: Post-Canon (DS9)
Worldbuilding: Tech lives (SW TBB)

Please be more specific about the worldbuilding or explain to me why this is the best/only way to nominate:
Farscape
Worldbuilding: Childrearing (Farscape) – Childrearing where and of which children? Peacekeepers? Among Chiana's people? Elsewhere? Would you truly be satisfied with anything?
Worldbuilding: Religion (Farscape) – Which religion? A space religion? Christianity in the canon context? Religions plural?

For All Mankind
Worldbuilding: What's happening in China (FAM) – Can you rephrase this? "State of Chinese Space Program" or whatnot? (Sorry if that's not what you're going after; I haven't started s3 yet.)

Jupiter Ascending
Worldbuilding: Childrearing (Jupiter Ascending) – Childrearing where and of which children?
Worldbuilding: Religion (Jupiter Ascending) – Which religion? A fictional space religion? A RL religion in the canon context? Religions plural?

On a Sunbeam
Worldbuilding: Restoration (On a Sunbeam) – Restoration of what? Or is this a game mechanic?

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Worldbuilding: Religion (DS9) – Which religion? A fictional space religion? A RL religion in the canon context? Religions plural?

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
Worldbuilding: Illyrian discrimination (STSNW)Anti-Illyrian discrimination?
Worldbuilding: Noonien-Singh descendants discrimination (STSNW) – Discrimination against Noonien-Singh descendants?
Worldbuilding: Religion (STSNW) – Which religion? A fictional space religion? A RL religion in the canon context? Religions plural?
Worldbuilding: therapy (STSNW) – Therapy where, done by whom to whom? Starfleet? Elsewhere? Is there some canonical therapy setting you want worldbuilding about?

Stargate Atlantis
Worldbuilding: Sentient Atlantis (SGA) – Is this already a thing or a plot prompt?

Other

Star Wars Crossovers
Worldbuilding: Force Hounds (Any Era) – Force Hounds only seem to appear in Dawn of the Jedi, set around 25,793 BBY. Wookieepedia doesn't have any other mentions. Star Wars Crossovers doesn't look like the best place for this, especially as this is a single era thing.
Worldbuilding: Jedi Temple Guardians (Any Era) – Nominator, I would like to remind you that you are being incredibly ambitious and opting in to both Disney Canon and Legends, from before 5000 BBY to 19 BBY for Temple Guardians. I will let this in in ~48 hours even if you don't reply, but I first wanted to warn you just in case.

Mass Effect: Since Andromeda is technically a subset of the trilogy (to avoid spoilers, I will not say what they are, but there are numerous direct mentions of the trilogy in Andromeda) I vote it should be with it.

Worldbuilding: Force Hounds (Any Era)
Nominator: While Force Hounds themselves don't have a direct mention in any other material, several people from DotJ are covered in other materials, and the Rakatan Empire, of which the Force Hounds were subject, has a direct mention in Andor. This means at the very least there are historical records of FH in other eras. We also have surviving Rakata in other materials and theybhad advanced technologies, including cryo and carbon freezing and digitizing their entire beings. It's not unreasonable to posit that Force Hounds themselves would survive in this way.
Likewise the Force Hound training methods are paralleled in the Zayne Carrick comics by the Crucible.
At least one of the Force Hounds also became a je'daii, possibly others as the Rakatan empire eventually waned, and they may have morphed into a subsect of Jedi proper.
There's also in-universe bodice rippers as an option, because feral quasi-Jedi are hot.

Worldbuilding: Jedi Temple Guardians (Any Era)
Nominator: I know its ambitious. That's alright. I fully opt-in to anybody being wild enough to give me a small taste of temple guardians regardless of the era.
extrapenguin: Picture of the Horsehead Nebula, with the horse wearing a hat and the text "MOD". (ssmod)

Mass Effect: Are you one of the nominators, and if so, which one? Before merging, I would like to hear from the Mass Effect Trilogy nominator.

Force Hounds: That does not convince me that Force Hounds are an any-era phenomenon, sorry! I am willing to accept Force Hounds under Dawn of the Jedi, or things like Rakatan Relics, Remnants of the Rakatan Empire, or Jedisploitation Bodice Rippers under Star Wars Crossovers + any era.

Jedi Temple Guardians: approved.

I'm the nominator for
Mass Effect - All Media Types
and
Relationship: Zaeed Massani (Mass Effect) & Bain Massani (Mass Effect: Andromeda)

Thank you for consideration of Force Hounds regardless. If I have enough wants for DoTJ, I will put them there.
