Feedback Post

Slightly belatedly, the feedback post!

This year, I moved internationally during the exchange (pro tip: don't do this), with the actual moving date being the day sign-ups ended so I handled noms and sign-ups while packing (pro tip: super don't do this), and essentially felt like I was juggling about three balls too many at any given time. Hopefully this feeling of complete chaos did not reach you, but if it did, don't worry, I will not be moving, internationally or otherwise, next year!

With the above disclaimed, if you have any feedback, I'd be happy to hear it! (Even if it's "you sure seemed more disorganized than usual this year" or whatnot.) Requests on where to advertise? Wishes for a clearer FAQ/instructions?

I had a good time as a PHer, the event ran smoothly from my end. Great exchange, thanks for running it!

I wouldn't have guessed at all, I thought things ran fairly smoothly! Thanks for your hard work, especially during such a hectic time.

My go tos for advertising events are [site community profile] dw_community_promo, [community profile] fandom_on_dw, [community profile] fandomcalendar, and [community profile] pimpmethis. I didn't check to see if you'd posted there for this exchange, so apologies if you already know about them!

Thank you for the links! I knew about [community profile] fandomcalendar but not the other ones. I'll check them out and see how any other exchanges have advertised.

Thank you for running the exchange!

I would love it if the offers minimum could be 1 instead of 2. There were several other offers I could have made this year — that would have matched requests — but didn’t because there wasn’t a second offer in the same fandom that I liked.

I also second the plug for advertising on fandomcalendar.

Thank you for the suggestion! I think I'll trial making the offers minimum 1 next year. And I've been advertising on fandomcalendar forever, though this year I only made one post due to fandomcalendar rules and my hectic schedule.

I'm glad the timing worked out for you! I do reveals on the 12th of April, as it's the International Day of Human Space Flight; this year it was on a Saturday, next year it will be on a Sunday. And the deadline is at the given time (or, well, I generally give people a minute of leeway so if I say :00 I check at :01). I don't know or care when EST midnight is!

(Though I did swap time zones with my move, so next year will be in Central European Time!)

Thank you so much for running! It was my first year participating in this exchange, but I had so much fun!
Definitely didn't notice any hiccups, it was a smooth ride for me haha
