Consensus seems to be that we'll be going forward with character-relationship-worldbuilding tag matching and allowing original works, as detailed in the previous post, but we'll only lock things in at the end of the month, so please contribute! (We also made the dates more America-friendly. The exchange gets going in February.)
One question, however, didn't get any attention, so I'm reposting it:
How many fanwork types? We'll have fanfic and fanart, and perhaps fanvid and podfic, but is there anything else you would like to request or make? How should multimedia stuff be counted?
That is, we will have fanfic and fanart as requestable fanwork types. Should we have anything else? Fanvid? Podfic? (Where podfic would be either podfic an extant 1k+ fic that fits the specifications, or write and then pod a 500+ word original fic that fits the specifications.) Should we have meta as its own category?
Also, somewhat relatedly, what are your opinions on the minimum creation requirements? Ficwise, we'll keep it at 1k; do you feel that the other mediums' requirements are equivalent?
