Nominations Clarification #3

  • Feb. 2nd, 2022 at 6:18 PM
Nominators of:
Doctor Who (2005)
Loki (TV 2021)
Space Force (TV)
Star Wars Sequel Trilogy
The Outer Worlds (Video Game)
Thor (Movies)
Annihilation (2018 Garland)
Arrival (2016)

...please read the nominations instructions and edit your nominations to comply. Solo characters are to be nominated in the format Character: River Song, NOT River Song (which AO3 will suggest to you).

Nominators of:
FTL: Faster Than Light (Video Game)
Stellar Firma (Podcast)
Wayfarers Series - Becky Chambers

...if you nominated any characters, relationships, or worldbuilding tags under your fandoms, they did not go through to AO3. If you have any preferences whatsoever as to the content you'd like to receive, please nominate something.

Nominators of:
Worldbuilding: EVERYBODY LIVES (Rogue One)
Worldbuilding: An AU in Which Oola Survives (Star Wars OT)
...those are AUs, not worldbuilding, and thus best left as prompts and/or requested in [community profile] auexchange

Worldbuilding: Thanos' change of mind (What If...?) – I am not familiar with the canon, but this seems to be more of a characterization thing than a worldbuilding tag. Does canon make me wrong, or could you rephrase it?

Ancient Greek Religion & Lore – I do not think there is space in this.

Kingdom Hearts (Video Games) – is there space in this? Google results are inconclusive.

I did not nominate Kingdom Hearts, but the main characters travel between worlds in a spaceship (the "Gummi Ship" for Googling purposes).

Not the nominator for Greek Mythology, but there's enough stories that end with something like "and then [X deity] placed [Y mortal] in the stars as a constellation" that I could see some element of space there.

It was my nomination and stuff like that is exactly what I was thinking of. I also just nominated deities associated with space. Artemis and Selene are moon goddesses. Asteria is a star goddess. Nyx is the goddess of the night.

Upon reflection, I don't think Greek Mythology meets the criteria for space – the line has been drawn at space travel for years and I don't want to change it. Please swap it for something else.

Changed Thanos to character tag, that's true it is more of characterization. Sorry for the issue!
